HYROX Sled Push Weights Breakdown
HYROX weights vary across categories to match athlete levels. The Pro men push the heaviest sled at 202 kg, while Open women push 102 kg.
These weights include the sled plus added plates.
The sled push challenges the entire lower body, especially the quads, glutes, and calves, while also taxing the cardiovascular system.
How the HYROX Sled Push Station Works
You push the sled forward across a 50-meter course broken into two 25-meter segments.
Hands must remain on the sled’s vertical poles throughout the push. The sled must cross each line fully before continuing.
Power comes from driving through your midfoot
Keep your hips low and torso leaned forward
Maintain steady breathing and consistent pace
Main Challenges in the HYROX Sled Push
The sled push is the heaviest weighted station, often leading to rapid muscle fatigue and cardiovascular stress. Floor surface influences difficulty — pushing on carpet requires more force than on turf.
Athletes need to balance power output and pacing to avoid burning out before finishing the 50 meters.

Improving leg strength and core stability will directly boost your sled push performance.
Strength training: Heavy sled pushes, squats, lunges
Technique drills: Body positioning, foot placement, hip angle
Conditioning: Short, intense intervals with sled or weighted prowler pushes
